Relying on BJP template, Rajagopal Reddy 'falls' sick as expected
This is not the first time that Telangana BJP candidates had been ill a little before elections
HYDERABAD: Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, the BJP's candidate in Munugode, is reportedly suffering from fever, as it was anticipated that he would fall ill soon as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party's election strategy.
A photo of Rajagopal Reddy lying on a bed and having his vitals checked went viral on social media, on Tuesday. He appeared frail and pale in the picture.
According to reports, Huzurabad MLA Etala Rajender will campaign for Rajagopal Reddy in the Munugode by-election, which will be held on November 7, 2022.
Several reports and memes had already circulated on social media in the last 2-3 days, predicting the BJP party's election strategy ahead of the elections.
Sources did predict that Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy would fall ill just before the Munugode by-election in order to reenact the BJP's usual template in Telangana and garner sympathy from voters.
This is not the first time that Telangana BJP candidates had been ill a little before elections. Whenever the Bharatiya Janata Party goes to polls in Telangana, it follows a standard template in a dramatic bid to strike a sentimental chord with the electorate.
From Etala Rajender to Bandi Sanjay to Raghunandan Rao, all fell ill or had their hands fractured just before elections in their respective constituencies. We will have to wait and see how the Munugode by-election results play out to see if the BJP's poll strategy works or not in their favour in the upcoming elections.
