HYDERABAD: The state government is committed to the welfare of Telangana Golla and Kuruma community members, said Telangana Finance and Health Minister Tanneru Harish on Wednesday at the Yadava-Kuruma Athmeeya Sammelanam at Ibrahimpatnam.

Minister Harish Rao stated on the occasion that the people of the Yadav and Kurma communities have been cheated by leaders for the past four decades, from Chief Ministers Chandrababu to Kiran Kumar Reddy, by not providing any guarantee for the Sheep Distribution Scheme. He praised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for being the only CM to provide a 75% subsidy on sheep provided to concerned community members.

The finance minister also stated that TRS, led by KCR, prioritises Golla and Kuruma, and that other states are also applauding the sheep scheme. He recalled Karnataka's minister's comments on the scheme, in which he stated that there is no Sheep Distribution Scheme in the country comparable to the one in Telangana. The Minister urged the Yadav and Kurma communities to vote for TRS in the upcoming Munugode by-election.

Harish Rao slammed the BJP for failing to establish a ministry for Backward Castes, claiming that the saffron party is only concerned with corporate interests. He claimed that the BJP is spreading false information about the Sheep Distribution Scheme, claiming that it will be scrapped out. Rao also lashed out at the BJP government in Delhi for increasing gas cylinder prices and looting the people.

Minister Harish Rao advised not to believe those who speak false words and urged them to take the role of Lord Krishna in the fight for justice. He stated that Union Cabinet Minister Giriraj Singh also praised the Telangana state schemes.

Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Harish Rao stated that no one can stop the distribution of sheep after November 3, 2022. He assured Yadav and Kurma community members that their proposals would be brought to KCR's attention.
