Six killed as speeding DCM van hits auto rickshaw in Mahbubnagar

HYDERABAD: In a major road accident in Mahbubnagar district, at least six people, including two minors, were killed on Friday evening. The accident occurred when a DCM van hit an auto rickshaw at Balanagar X Roads on NH 44.

The victims, including two children, hailed from Mothighanapur village in Balanagar and had had come to Mahbubnagar to visit the weekly market. The accident took place when they were returning home. After the incident, the DCM van driver, who was on his way to Jadcherla, fled the spot. The police shifted the bodies to local hospital and registered a case into the incident. The accident led to heavy traffic jam on NH44.
