HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Friday lodged a complaint against YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy accusing him of spreading false news on social media against their party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.

A TDP team comprising its woman wing chief Jyotnsa, GVJ Naidu and Durga Prasad complained to West Zone DCP here against the YSRCP leader. They were particularly furious with the way false news was spread even using the death of NTR's fourth daughter Uma Maheshwari.

The complainants alleged that Vijayasai Reddy and Devender Reddy tweeted saying Chandrababu and Lokesh were the reason for Uma Maheshwari dying by suicide. They demanded stern action against the two.

Earlier, Telugu Youth State President Pogaku Jairamchand filed a complaint with Hyderabad Joint Commissioner Gajrao Bhupal on Wednesday over the social media posts on Nara Lokesh.

The TDP leader stated in the complaint that social media posts were being used to tarnish Lokesh's image by attributing the suicide of NTR's daughter Uma Maheshwari to him. They said that this was being done intentionally to create a rift between Nara and Nandamuri families and fans.
