Telangana tablue with India-mother of democracy in Republic Day Parade-2024

HYDERABAD: Telangana is all set to participate in the Republic Day parade in Delhi after a gap of three years as Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, who spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the importance of Telangana's participation in the Republic Day celebrations and sought permission and Telangana tableau.

Prime Minister Modi, after a discussion with officials, agreed to the request and promised to give an opportunity.

The theme of Telangana Tableau is "India - Mother of Democracy," highlighting the significance of the armed struggle fought in Telangana to protect the rights and democratic values of the people. The government aims to showcase through tableau that this struggle is an integral part of preserving the country's democracy, regardless of who engaged in the armed struggle.

Additionally, the tableau aims to demonstrate how Telangana has progressed and developed since the time of the movement. It also seeks to raise awareness among the people of the country about the separate Telangana movement, which emerged from the stories of the humiliation faced by Telangana girl children during the autocratic regime.

The statues of notable figures like Komuram Bheem, Ranji Gond, and Chakali Ailamma, who played significant roles in the liberation of Telangana, will be displayed in Tableau. The Telangana government has created Tableau to honour the sacrifices made by numerous martyrs in the movement.
