TRS MPs hold protest, parliament adjourned

NEW DELHI: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MPs from both the Houses of Parliament held protests in front of the Gandhi statue outside the parliament building, in New Delhi, against the increasing inflation in the country.This led to the adjournment of both Houses to be adjourned till 2 PM on Tuesday.

The TRS leaders said that the Modi-led Central Government was responsible for the increasing prices and displayed placards and slogans against the Centre.

K Keshav Rao, Nama Nageswara Rao, Divakonda Damodar Rao and other MPs participated in the protest.

India's inflation was at its worst with its 7.04 percent inflation reported in May 2022. The country had been ranked at 108 out of 172 countries. The prices of basic commodities, like LPG, had skyrocketed and the rupee fell down to 80-mark against the US dollar.
