VIZIANAGARAM: Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh of engaging in diversion politics by using his family's personal issues to distract from pressing problems in the state.

He made these remarks on Thursday during a visit to Gurlam in the Vizianagaram district, where he met with victims suffering from diarrhoea and offered condolences to families who had lost loved ones to the illness.

Speaking to the media, Jagan emphasised that every family has its issues, and urged the government to stop focusing on personal matters and instead address the challenges faced by the public. He accused the Chandrababu government of using diversion tactics to hide the state's real problems, criticising the failure to deliver on promised initiatives, such as the "Super Six" schemes.

Jagan expressed frustration over the government’s lack of response to the diarrhoea outbreak, questioning why aid was not provided to those affected. He claimed that the government was indifferent to the plight of the victims and was neglecting the worsening conditions in the state. He assured the affected families of his party’s support and highlighted how the YSRCP, during its tenure, had revitalised villages through services provided via village secretariats.
