Chiranjeevi enters Guinness Records for iconic dance legacy in 156 Films

HYDERABAD: Veteran actor Chiranjeevi, known for his extensive career in Telugu cinema, was awarded a Guinness World Record for his contribution to dance. He has performed in 156 films, 537 songs, and over 24,000 dance steps.

The award was presented by Guinness World Records officials and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan during a special event.

Reflecting on his career, Chiranjeevi credited his passion for dance and thanked his directors, producers, and fans for their support. He recalled his early love for dance, which began with imitating songs played on the radio and shared anecdotes about his journey. "In my early films, senior actors like Savitri and Narasimharaju encouraged me. Once, I slipped during a dance, but I turned it into a 'Nagini dance' improvisation, earning rare praise," he said.

Aamir Khan, who presented the award, expressed his admiration for Chiranjeevi, calling him a brother and stating that he had always been a fan. "He dances with passion in every song, putting his heart into each performance," Khan said.

Prominent Telugu filmmakers Raghavendra Rao, B. Gopal, and Kodandarami Reddy, as well as producers Allu Aravind and Ashwini Dutt, were also present at the ceremony.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu extended their congratulations to Chiranjeevi, praising his contribution to Telugu cinema and describing the achievement as a matter of pride for Telugu people worldwide.
