2 International drug dealers arrested

HYDERABAD: Sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), along with the Begumpet police, apprehended two International drug transporters found in illegal possession of controlled substance on Saturday.

A total of 3.1 kg of Pseudo Ephedrine, 23 SIM cards, 12 fake Aadhar cards and six mobile phones were recovered from the accused.

The accused, Khadar Mohideen and Ibrahim Sha, were identified as residents of Chennai. Further investigation revealed that the accused were indulged in illegal International drug transport for the past two years.

The accused developed contacts with International drug dealers in Australia and New Zealand through various courier services operating from Hyderabad.

The drugs, in order to escape custom checking at Airports, were transported by packaging in bangle holders, photo frames, saree and other apparel linings, in cooperation with the courier services.

The police appealed to the public to be cautions and ensure that their children do no fall prey to drugs.
