SHAMSHABAD: The Shamshabad Airport Customs officials have seized 5.5 kg of gold worth Rs 3 crores from two passengers who flew down from Dubai. The two passengers, Aamir Khan and Mohammad Qureshi, were detained and handed over to the local police for further questioning.

The two accused reportedly tried to smuggle the gold by concealing it in their undergarments. The gold was reportedly converted into a semi-solid state so that it could be concealed in inner garments.

A case has been registered for smuggling and illegal trafficking of gold to India.
