6 chain snatching cases in Hyderabad, police suspect involvement of same gang

HYDERABAD: A series of six chain snatching incidents were reported in the early hours of Saturday in Hyderabad. The cases were registered in different parts of the city between 6 am to 8 am.

The police suspected that the robberies were done by a same gang named Delhi gang, purportedly an interstate gang of dacoits who executed such crimes in the past too.

1. 6.20 AM at Rajadhani, Uppal

2. 6.40 AM Kalyanpuri, Uppal

3. 7.10 AM Nagendra Nagar, Nacharam

4. 7.40 AM Ravindar Nagar, OU PS

5. 8.00 AM Chilakalaguda PS near Ramalayam gundu.

6. 8.10 AM Ramgopalpet PS Near Railway Station

The police said that these types of gangs have a history of executing such crimes at a place and fleeing by air or train the same day. They said that through thorough checking at railway stations, particularly at the platforms which trains proceed towards Delhi and Northern states and airport may yield instant results.
