Another accused in Vanasthalipuram gang rape case arrested

HYDERABAD: In a significant development, Sivaji Reddy, also known as Chintur Reddy, was arrested by the police at midnight on Wednesday in connection with the gang rape of a software employee. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Vanasthalipuram police station.

Vanasthalipuram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kashi Reddy revealed that Sivaji Reddy had been on the run since the incident. Four special teams were deployed to apprehend him. The police are currently investigating the case.

Sivaji Reddy is reported to be a close follower of Congress MLA Rajagopal Reddy.
