AP Minister Sandhya Rani escapes major accident as convoy vehicle crashes
A tyre burst caused an escort vehicle to crash into an oncoming van, injuring five people.
VIZAG: Andhra Pradesh Women and Child Welfare Minister Sandhya Rani narrowly escaped a serious accident on Thursday morning. The incident occurred while the minister was on her way to visit the Mentada mandal in Vizianagaram district.
As the convoy passed through Ramabhadrapuram near Arikatota, one of the escort vehicle's tyres suddenly burst, causing the car to lose control and collide with an oncoming minivan. The collision injured two security personnel and three passengers in the van.
Fortunately, Minister Sandhya Rani, who was travelling in a car right behind the vehicle involved in the accident, escaped unharmed. Bystanders and officials were relieved that the minister was safe.
In a compassionate gesture, Minister Sandhya Rani personally ensured that the injured were immediately transported to the hospital via ambulance. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
