HYDERABAD: In a mugging incident, a man was attacked by a group of thieves and was relieved of his valuables in Attapur of Ranga Reddy district in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident happened days after a theft in NM Guda of Rajendranagar police station limits where an idol was stolen from Sai Baba temple.

In the latest incident, the thieves attacked one Santhosh and robbed him of his gold chain and a bracelet worth around Rs 2.5 lakh at 2.30 am on Wednesday.

Upon receiving the complaint through dial 100 from the victim, the police reached the spot and inquired about the incident.

Based on the information furnished by the victim, the police registered a case and started a manhunt for the accused. The police were looking to retrieve the CCTV footage of the incident for investigation.
