Bus cleaner sexually assaults married woman travelling to Samarlakota from Hyderabad
A private bus cleaner assaulted a woman traveling from Kukatpally to Samarlakota; police complaint filed.
HYDERABAD: A 28-year-old married woman from Samarlakota in Andhra Pradesh was allegedly sexually assaulted by a bus cleaner while traveling on a private bus from Kukatpally, Hyderabad, on September 18.
The woman, who resides and works in Kukatpally, had booked a bus ticket to travel to her hometown.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred during the night when the bus cleaner approached her seat and forcibly sexually assaulted her. When the woman tried to raise an alarm, the cleaner threatened her, preventing her from calling for help.
The next day, the woman reached her home in Samarlakota and, out of fear, confided in her family members about the incident. Her family then took her to Choutuppal police station, where she filed an official complaint.
Police have registered the case and initiated an investigation. Further details regarding the bus cleaner's identity and his whereabouts are being pursued by the authorities.
