Case booked against cop, tehsildar for alleged kidnap, transfer of land ownership in Mokila

HYDERABAD: A case of kidnapping has been registered against the ACP of Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) and Talakondapally tehsildar Venkata Rangareddy of Ranga Reddy district. The tehsildar, with the help of the ACP, allegedly kidnapped one Srinivas Raju, an owner of 50 acres of land in Chandradhana village in the mandal.

In November 2023, a gang allegedly led by Surya Narayana Raju kidnapped Srinivas Raju and registered 30 acres of land illegally on their name.

After 24 hours of the crime, the kidnappers forcibly brought the land owner Srinivas Raju to Talakondapally tehsildar's office. The tehsildar registered Srinivas Raju's 30 acres of land on Surya Narayana Raju's name without seeking supporting documents such as passbook, Aadhaar card and PAN card. The land is reportedly valued at Rs 30 crore.

A case was registered at the Mokila police station against 13 people including the ACP and the tehsildar under Cyberabad commissionarate limits. Despite the incident happening last year, the title was not officially not changed in the revenue books for the last five months. After the change in Government, the victims filed a complaint with the Cyberabad police.
