Cherlapally Jail Superintendent duped of Rs 1 lakh by cyber criminals

HYDERABAD: The Kushaiguda police registered a case after Cherlapally Jail Deputy Superintendent Dasharatham lodged a complaint for being looted of Rs 1 lakh by criminals.

According to details, Dasharatham was being blackmailed that his intimate videos would be leaked if he didn't pay the money. He paid Rs 35,000 first and Rs 65,000 later through a UPI payment app.

However, as the cybercriminal didn't calm down and demanded Rs. 85,000 more, Dasharatham lodged a complaint with the police, who registered a case and were investigating it further.
