Close shave for mechanic after road accident with tiger in Kagaznagar

KAGAZNAGAR: An automobile mechanic was injured after hitting a tiger on the road at 80 kmph in the forest area of Ankushapur of Kagaznagar mandal in Komuram Bhim district on Sunday.

Mohammad Tahir, an auto mechanic from Irfan Nagar in Kagaznagar town, was riding a two-wheeler from Wankidi to Kagaznagar for work on Sunday, according to reports.

He struck a tiger on the road as he approached the Ankushapur cross-reference road, causing Taher to crash into the wayside bushes.

A two-wheeler-borne passer-by noticed Mohammad Tahir and rushed him to a private hospital in Kagaznagar. After learning of the incident, forest officials rushed to the scene and went searching for the tiger.

Taher was later discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for minor injuries to his hands and legs.
