KOTHAGUDEM: A constable from Burugumpadu police station in Bhadradri Kothagudem, identified as Sagar, attempted suicide on the day of Dussehra, alleging that he was falsely implicated in a ganja case. Sagar claimed that senior officers wrongfully held him responsible for missing ganja that had previously been seized in various cases at the station.

Sagar accused Sub-Inspector Santosh and another officer, Nani, of selling the ganja with the help of local youths. He stated that calls made to these youths from his phone were used to frame him in the case. Despite not being involved, Sagar said he was made the scapegoat, leading to his suspension by higher authorities.

Distressed by the accusations and suspension, Sagar attempted suicide, leaving his family in shock. His family members rushed him to the hospital, where his condition remains critical.
