Engineering student murdered in broad daylight in Hyderabad
An engineering student was stabbed to death in an altercation at a shop in Balapur.
HYDERABAD: An engineering student was stabbed to death on Thursday afternoon in Balapur in Hyderabad, following an argument.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old M Prashanth, was a second-year engineering student at a private college in Nadergul and hailed from Khammam.
According to police reports, Prashanth was at a pan shop after having lunch at a nearby restaurant when he became involved in a dispute with another individual. The altercation escalated, and the suspect drew a knife, stabbing Prashanth multiple times.
Prashanth collapsed at the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Maheshwaram DCP P Sunitha Reddy confirmed the incident and stated that special teams have been formed to apprehend the perpetrator.
Police are currently investigating the motive behind the murder and are questioning Prashanth's friends, classmates, and relatives.
