MAHBUBNAGAR: Five persons, including a child, were killed and four others were injured grievously after a car lost control and collided with a tree at Kothakota bypass road in Wanaparthy district.
According to information reaching the State headquarters, as many as nine people were travelling in a car from Bellary to Hyderabad. As the car was overspeeding, the driver lost control and crashed into a tree, leaving four dead on the spot, and a child reportedly died while on the way to hospital. The injured were shifted to Wanaparthy government hospital for treatment.
The car involved in the incident was registered in Karnataka, and the police have registered a case and are investigating it further. They stated that the cause of the accident was overspeeding.
