Four killed, one injured in car accident in Eluru district
An Ertiga car collided with the container from behind with such intensity that four persons were killed on the spot.
VIJAYAWADA: Four people were killed, and a boy was injured when the car they were travelling in lost control and rammed into a parked container. The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday at Lakshmi Nagar in Dwarka Tirumala mandal of Eluru district.
The vehicle, an Ertiga car, collided with the container from behind with such intensity that four persons were killed on the spot. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information, and the injured boy was taken to the hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Bhagyashree (26), Bomma Kamaladevi (53), and Nitin Kumar (5), all residents of Hyderabad. Another victim has yet to be identified. The group was travelling towards Hyderabad when the accident occurred.
Police suspect that the driver was drowsy. They have registered a case and begun an investigation.
