HYDERABAD: Students from the Gurukul school in Palmakula of Rangareddy district staged a protest on the streets demanding that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy intervene to address the severe issues they are facing.
According to the students, the school staff served them rice infested with insects, while the teachers prepared separate, better meals for themselves. When the students questioned the poor quality of food, they were told to bring their own food from home. They also complained about a lack of clean drinking water at the school. They also accused the staff of using abusive language and threatened them with failing their 10th-grade exams if they continued to raise complaints.
Frustrated with the ongoing neglect and harassment, the students took to the streets, holding a dharna and demanding that the Chief Minister visit their school to resolve these issues. The students expressed that instead of providing support and reassurance, the teachers were instilling fear about their academic future.
