H-NEW officers arrest two for involvement in drug usage, peddling
The H-NEW appealed to the general public to fall prey to drugs and requested parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children
HYDERABAD: As part of a New Year Special Operation, the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Ramgopalpet Police apprehended two people for usage and peddling of narcotic substances.
Mohit Agarwal (30), who owned an event managing company called ‘The Unscripted’ and Manyam Krishna Kishore Reddy (59), who ran an engineering company named ‘KMC Pvt Ltd’ were both interested in parties and had contacts of pub owners and DJs. They conducted private parties and also consumed drugs. Reportedly, they were also associated with many drug peddlers in Hyderabad, Goa, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Earlier in 2022, a case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotic Substances Act (NDPS), 1985. They were arrested on January 1.
The H-NEW appealed to the general public to fall prey to drugs and requested parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children. They also said, “Feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 8712661601 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for a drug free city.”
