Hash oil peddling racket busted in Hyderabad, four arrested

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and the Chikkadpally Police busted a large Hash Oil supplying network in Hyderabad City, apprehending a drug supplier and three drug peddlers.

They also seized 60 bottles of hash oil, each containing five grams, as well as 400 litres of petroleum ether, three mobile phones, and a four-wheeler, all worth Rs 14 lakhs.

The drug peddlers had a large drug network, according to the police, that included Hash oil producers, suppliers, and peddlers, with the prime accused N. Praveen Kumar from Vishakhapatnam supplying Hash oil to 15 drug peddlers in Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The accused Praveen kumar had contacts with Ganja cultivators in G. Madugula Mandal's Alagam village, and he purchased petroleum ether from chemical traders in Kukatpally, Hyderabad City, and transported it to interior Ganja cultivating places in the agency area, where he used to prepare hash oil with Ganja cultivators. He sold the hash oil he made to drug dealers in Hyderabad and Bangalore in litres or small 5 gram bottles.

He was nabbed on December 30, 2022, while selling 300 g of hash oil bottles to drug peddlers P. Mohan Yadav, P. Kalyan, and B. Suresh. The H-NEW and Chikkadpally PS also confiscated 60 bottles of hash oil, each containing 5 grams and 400 litres.

The arrests were made with the assistance of Chakravarthy Gummi, DCP, Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector of Police, H-NEW, SC. Venkat Ramulu, SI, H-NEW, and H-NEW staff, as well as N. Sanjay Kumar, Inspector of Police, Chikkadpally PS, and staff.
