Head constable dies by suicide by shooting himself in Mahabubabad

MAHABUBABAD: A head constable deployed at the Mahabubabad District Collectorate died by suicide using his service rifle.

The constable, identified as Gunde Boyina Srinivas, was on duty at the Treasury Strong Room on Sunday when he suddenly shot himself with his SLR (Self-Loading Rifle).

Colleagues rushed to the scene after hearing the gunshot and immediately informed senior officers. The reasons behind Srinivas' decision to end his life remain unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause.
