High Court takes up case on blasting concerns in Jubilee Hills

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has initiated a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) case regarding blasting rocks near residential areas in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The case stems from concerns raised by residents, including High Court judge Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka, about the frequency and intensity of the blasting, which is reportedly causing disturbances and impacting the environment.

The court has issued notices to relevant authorities, including the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and the Secretaries of Mines, Geology, and Environment departments, seeking explanations and details about the blasting activities.
