Hitting electric pole while riding bike, schoolboy of class X killed in accident at Banjara Hills

HYDERABAD: A schoolboy was crushed to death in Banjara Hills on Monday morning.

According to Banjara Hills police, a class X student, Bharani Sai Lokesh (15) is a student of a local high school in Borabanda area in Hyderabad.

The bike on which he was travelling slipped at the traffic junction when he was going from Banjara Hills towards KBR Park. As a result, Lokesh who was riding the motorcyle was flung from the two-wheeler and hit an adjacent electric pole. He sustained grievous head injury and died instantly.

The Banjara Hills police are investigating the case. The police are probing the angle of how a 15-year-old boy was riding the bike as he was ineligible for a driver's licence.

Word of caution to parents: Please do not give vehicles to your wards who are not eligible to drive without authorised driver's licence. It is a crime on the part of the parents to give vehicles to children under the age of 18 years who do not possess a proper driver's licence
