HYDERABAD: A lorry carrying an iron load overturned on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Taramatipeta in the early hours of Monday, resulting in the death of the driver on the spot. The incident occurred near the 10th exit of the ORR, just after crossing a toll gate.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Rajagopalchari from Hindupur in the Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh, was driving from Raipur to Bengaluru. As the lorry passed Taramatipeta, it went out of control and fell from the ORR onto the service road below. Rajagopalchari was trapped in the cabin and died instantly. The cleaner, Babajan, sustained severe injuries.

Abdullapurmet police arrived at the scene and rushed Babajan to the hospital. They used a gas cutter to retrieve Rajagopalchari’s body from the cabin. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
