Lightning strike kills two women, leaves one in critical condition in Dammapeta

KOTHAGUDEM: Two women were killed and one was critically injured after being struck by lightning while working in a field in Jaggaram village of Dammapeta mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The incident occurred near the farm of a tenant farmer, Raviraju, where the women were working.

The victims, Sunnan Anusha (23) and Kattam Nagashree (23), succumbed to their injuries, while another woman, Madakam Seethamma, is in critical condition. The injured were immediately rushed to Vijetha Hospital in Satthupalli for emergency treatment.

Authorities are monitoring the situation, and local officials have reached out to the affected families.
