Man allegedly murders wife, attempts suicide; Arrested after friend alerts police

HYDERABAD: In a disturbing incident unfolding in Bachupally, Hyderabad, a man identified as Nagender Babu allegedly brutally murdered his wife, Madhulata, a software engineer, following a heated family dispute. Subsequently, he attempted to take his own life.

Reports suggest that Nagender, embroiled in family disputes, resorted to extreme measures, resulting in the tragic loss of his wife's life. Locals intervened upon witnessing the horrifying scene, prompting Nagender to flee. However, he sought refuge at his friend Srinivas's residence in Chandanagar, where he made an attempt on his own life.

Upon learning of the situation, Srinivas promptly alerted the authorities, leading to Nagender's apprehension by the police. Nagender, while receiving treatment for self-inflicted injuries at a hospital, confessed to the crime, expressing remorse and citing concern for their child.

Investigations into the incident are currently underway. Sources indicate that the couple had been engaged in frequent arguments over minor issues in recent days, escalating tensions within the household.
