Man drowned after saving four others from floods in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: A 32-year-old man lost his life after saving four others during the recent floods in Vijayawada.

Chandrasekhar, who worked at a dairy farm, helped his two brothers and two others climb onto the roof for safety as floodwaters rose in Singh Nagar. He also freed the cows tied to ropes.

However, while attempting to climb to safety, he slipped and was swept away by the floodwaters. Chandrasekhar's wife is eight months pregnant, adding to the family's deep grief.
