Man killed in hit-and-run accident on Hyderabad's ORR

HYDERABAD: A man was killed in a horrific hit-and-run incident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Shamshabad on Tuesday morning.

The victim, identified as Thota Anjaiah, a resident of Utlapalli, was walking along the road when a speeding car struck him. The impact of the collision threw Anjaiah onto the car's bonnet, leaving him trapped in the windshield.

Instead of stopping, the driver continued for some distance, dragging Anjaiah along. The victim's head was severed from his body and landed on the car's back seat. Police arrived at the scene and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. The driver has been apprehended, and a case has been registered. An investigation is underway.
