HYDERABAD: A man strangled his eight-year-old daughter to death at BHEL of Chandanagar in Hyderabad and tried to portray it as an accident.

The deceased, identified as Mokshagna, studying fourth class at Jyothi school in BHEL, is living with her mother. However, her father, Chandrasekhar, who was staying separately from his wife for some time was meeting his daughter once in three days. On Saturday, he went to his daughter's school and convinced her to go along with him in a car and subsequently strangled her to death.

He had pierced a pencil into her neck.

Later, the accused, in an attempt to portray it as an accident, took the car to ORR at Pedda Amberpet and hit the divider. While he was moving suspiciously, the Abdullahpurmet Police detained him and found that he killed his daughter.

The police shifted the body to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem and started an investigation.
