HYDERABAD: In a horrific incident, a petty quarrel between friends led to the brutal murder of a person in Chandrayangutta police station limits of Old City in Hyderabad on Thursday.
According to information, Shakir, aged 30, who lived in the Bhavani Nagar area, was involved in a quarrel with his friends a few days ago. On Thursday, while he was on his way from Santosh Nagar to Bandlaguda in an autorickshaw, he was chased down, waylaid and attacked by unknown assailants. The miscreants stabbed him with knives after sprinkling chilli powder in his eyes near DRDL road.
The police shifted the body to Osmania Mortuary for a postmortem examination. They suspected that the brutal killing might be the handiwork of his estranged friends with whom he had a quarrel. The Chandrayangutta Police registered a case and were examining the footage from nearby CCTV cameras to track down the culprits.
