Man slits girl's throat for rejecting love proposal in Borabanda, condition stable

HYDERABAD: A young man allegedly attempted murder on a girl by slitting her throat with a knife for rejecting his love proposal at Banjara Nagar area of Borabanda in Hyderabad.

According to police, Kishore, hailing from Borabanda, was harassing a young woman Lakshmi in the name of love. However, Lakshmi refused the proposal of Kishore.

Kishore after being ignored by Lakshmi for some time now stopped her while she was travelling on a two-wheeler near Banjara Nagar in Borabanda on Monday and tried to slit her throat.

Upon hearing the screams of the girl, the locals prevented Kishore from attacking Lakshmi further and handed over him to the SR Nagar police. The locals later shifted the victim to a hospital for treatment whose condition is said to be stable.

The SR Nagar police registered a case and started an investigation.
