Man slits throat of wife-beating brother-in-law in Palnadu district

GUNTUR: A man was brutally murdered by his brother-in-law, who was vexed with the alleged harassment being meted out to his sister. The gruesome killing took place at Janapadu of Piduguralla mandal in Palnadu district on Thursday.

According to local police, Gopi, who was having frequent quarrels with his wife, had been allegedly manhandling her. Gopi’s brother-in-law Edukondalu, who was unable to bear with the harassment and torture of his sister, attacked him with a knife. In a fit of rage, he slit the throat of his brother-in-law, leading to the latter’s instant death.

Police registered a case and the investigation is going on.
