Married woman arrested in POCSO case for eloping with minor boy

SIDDIPET: A 27-year-old married woman has been arrested by the Siddipet Police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) for eloping with a 16-year-old boy to marry him.

The woman, Radha, living with her husband and two children in Hanuman Nagar, Siddipet, reportedly developed a romantic relationship with the minor boy and left her family to be with him. It is alleged that she took cash and jewellery from the boy's house before leaving for Chennai with him on January 22.

Following a complaint from the boy's parents, the police initiated an investigation and were able to track down the couple in Chennai.

Subsequently, the police located and arrested Radha under the POCSO and other relevant sections.
