HYDERABAD: As many as 48 persons, including four transgenders, were arrested on Sunday by the Shamshabad police during a raid at a mujra party in Hyderabad. The party was organised at a farmhouse at Narkuda village of Shamshabad on the outskirts of the city.
Around 3 am, the Shamshabad Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad Commissionerate raided 'Saleem Farmhouse' belonging to a former rowdy sheeter named Baba Khan. Four knives, five hukkah pots and 49 mobile phones were also seized during the raid.
"The party was allegedly hosted to celebrate closure of the rowdy sheet on Baba Khan recently," said Cyberabad SOT Additional DCP, Narayana. Four other rowdy sheeters, Yaseen, Mahaboob, Azhar and Sohail, were also present at the party. The transgenders were brought in to reportedly entertain the revellers at the party.
The accused were arrested and handed over to the Shamshabad Police Station for further action.
