New Twist in Aswaraopeta SI suicide attempt case: CI and four constables charged with harassment

HYDERABAD: The suicide attempt of Aswaraopeta SI Sriramula Srinivas in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has taken a new turn, with the Circle Inspector and four constables being charged for harassment.

The investigation revealed that harassment by CI Jitender Reddy was the primary cause behind SI Srinivas's suicide attempt. As a result, police superiors issued orders transferring CI Jitender Reddy to the IG office. Additionally, higher officials attached constables Subhani, Siva, Sanyasi Naidu, and Shekhar to the SP office.

There have been numerous allegations against CI Jitender Reddy in Aswaraopeta mandal, which further prompted these actions.
