KAMAREDDY: In a shocking incident, a police officer, an education officer, and teachers' union leaders allegedly tried to bribe a student's parents to silence them about the sexual harassment of their child by the headmaster of a government school.

The incident occurred at Desaipet ZP High School in Banswada Mandal of Kamareddy district. On Saturday, the school's headmaster, Narender, allegedly engaged in inappropriate behaviour with a student in a school room. Other students witnessed this, and they promptly informed the girl's parents.

When the parents arrived at the school on Monday, Narender was conspicuously absent. In a disturbing turn of events, a police officer, an education officer, and several teachers' union leaders allegedly attempted to bribe the girl's parents with Rs 1.5 lakh to keep the incident under wraps.

Despite their efforts to silence the family, the matter reached higher authorities. Upon learning of the incident, they intervened, spoke with the girl's parents, and ensured that a formal complaint was lodged against headmaster Narender with the police.
