HYDERABAD: The Commissioner's Task Force and Afzalgunj police arrested one person during raids at a residence near Matha Temple and found various types of duplicate Havells electrical wires all worth Rs.3,70,000.

Lalit Kumar, a 27-year-old Gowliguda businessman, illegally stored large quantities of duplicate Havells electrical wires at his residence for easy money.

On inquiry, he revealed that he owns Prayag Electrical Shop in Troop Bazar, which deals with electrical appliances.

He hatched a plan to sell duplicate Havells electrical wires since he was not getting enough profits from his business.

According to the police, Lalit Kumar met Devaram from Delhi, who supplied duplicate Havells electrical wires to Hyderabad, which he then sold to his customers in Hyderabad and illegally profited by defrauding Havells and the general public.

The apprehended accused person along with seized property was handed over to the Station House Officer(SHO), Afzalgunj police station for further investigation.
