One held for illegal sale of defence liquors to civilians in Hyderabad
Yadav made a lot of money selling military alcohol bottles for the last eight months
HYDERABAD: The Commissioner's task force, North Zone, and the Marredpally police arrested an accused in possession of army supply liquor bottles at J.R Sports in East Marredpally on Thursday.
According to the police, the accused Raj Kumar Yadav, a native of Tilmapur village in Uttar Pradesh, relocated to Hyderabad in 2018 at the suggestion of his brother Ashok Kumar Yadav, who runs J.R Sports in East Marredpally, Secunderabad along with Ravinder.
Raj Kumar observed that all the beverage firms provided all brands to the military canteens free of charge for Army personnel. He also noticed that these liquor bottles were exclusively for army personnel and civilians were not allowed to buy these liquor bottles.
He compared market pricing military supply alcohol bottles with low prices. He lured military personnel to give him their military quota alcohol bottles in exchange for an affordable price.The accused Raj Kumar Yadav planned on selling military supply alcohol bottles to civilians at a low price, in order to make quick money.
Yadav made a lot of money selling military alcohol bottles for the last eight months. He purchased military liquor bottles every month between the 7 and 25 dates of the month and sold them to needy people for quick earnings.
He was arrested on Thursday based on credible information, and the police recovered eleven bottles of 100-pipers and three bottles of Royal Challenge from his possession.
