One killed as TSRTC bus falls into gorge on Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad

VIKARABAD: One person was killed while 10 others were severely injured after a TSRTC bus fell into a gorge on the ghat road of Ananthagiri Hills on Sunday. Ananthagiri Hills is located in Vikarabad district, about 80 km away from Hyderabad.

Reportedly, the bus plunged into the valley due to a brake failure. The police, on receiving the information, reached the site immediately and started rescue operations. The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The condition of two of the injured was stated to be critical.

Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy and Vikarabad MLA Dr Anand also visited the scene of accident and monitored the rescue operation.
