GUNTUR: A young girl studying Intermediate in Chaitanya Junior College at Narasaraopet of Palnadu district, who went missing on Tuesday, caused a stir leaving the parents distressed.

The girl, identified as Vaishnavi (17), left home three days ago for college but did not returned home. Her worried parents then filed a police complaint.

Speaking to the media, the parents claimed that their daughter's movements were captured on CCTV footage while entering the college but that she had not attended the classes. They were enraged with the college management for not giving any convincing answers about their daughter having gone missing.

The parents staged a sit-in in front of the college on Friday demanding the management, State Education Minister and Women's Commission to respond and take immediate action in finding their missing child.

Narasaraopet police formed two teams to search for Vaishnavi and were investigating the matter based on her call records and information provided by her friends and family. The police are investigating whether she was abducted or had gone somewhere voluntarily.
