Passengers protest at Aiza bus stand over insufficient buses at midnight
Lack of buses led to a midnight protest at Aiza bus stand as passengers struggled to board an overcrowded bus.
HYDERABAD: Frustrated passengers staged a protest at Aiza bus stand around midnight due to a shortage of buses traveling from Gadwal to Hyderabad. The last bus from Gadwal, which left at 11:15 PM, arrived at Aiza with 90 passengers already onboard.
At Aiza, around 200 passengers were waiting to board the same bus, leading to overcrowding. Many passengers tried to get on, but the bus could not accommodate them all. In response, passengers called RTC officials, but after receiving no immediate solution, about 150 people crammed into the bus.
Angry passengers at the bus stand expressed their frustration, stating that while ticket prices are raised during festive seasons, the number of buses is not increased to meet the demand. The protest highlighted the need for additional buses, especially during peak travel periods.
