Punjagutta police constable dies after fall from autorickshaw in Jangaon

HYDERABAD: A police constable working at the Punjagutta police station in Hyderabad was killed in a freak accident after falling from a moving autorickshaw near Narmetta of Jangaon district.

The deceased, identified as Golkonda Swamy and aged 36, was working as a police constable at the Panjagutta Police Station. While Swamy was on his way to Jangaon in an autorickshaw from Narmetta, he accidentally fell from the three-wheeler on Narmetta-Hanmantapur road and suffered severe head injuries.

He however died while being shifted to a hospital. The police registered a case and are investigating.
