SIRCILLA: A major RTC bus accident was averted in Rajanna Sircilla district. The incident occurred near a petrol pump on the outskirts of Padma Nagar village in Tangalapally mandal. The bus veered off the road to the right and rammed into the bushes, causing minor injuries to some passengers.

The bus, carrying 35 passengers, departed from Siddipet for Vemulawada at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Passengers attributed the accident to the driver's negligence and carelessness. They reported that the driver failed to slow down for speed breakers and maintained a high speed, which led to the mishap.

According to the details, the steering wheel of the RTC bus from Siddipet depot suddenly locked, causing the bus to crash into the bushes. The driver promptly stopped the bus, preventing a more severe accident.  

Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.
