Six injured in mad dog attack in Karimnagar village, toddler in critical condition

KARIMNAGAR: A mad dog went on a rampage in Korapalli village of Jammikunta mandal, Karimnagar district, injuring six people, including a three-year-old girl who is now in critical condition. The incident occurred on Thursday morning, prompting swift action from local residents.

The young girl, identified as Akshara, daughter of Upender and Meena, was playing outside her house when the dog attacked her. Hearing her screams, family members rushed to her aid, chasing the dog away. However, Akshara sustained serious injuries to her face, lips, and legs. She was initially taken to the local government hospital and later moved to Hanamkonda for better treatment due to the severity of her condition.

The same dog also attacked several others in the village, including Swaroopa, Venkataswamy, Gattamma, a young boy named Ritvik, and an elderly woman. The villagers reported that the situation was alarming, and immediate efforts were made to provide medical help to all the injured. The toddler's condition remains critical as she receives treatment in Hanamkonda.
