ALAMPUR: Stray dogs attacked police personnel in Alampur, where officers had gathered for VIP security duties at the Jogulamba temple. An ASI named Basha was injured in the attack and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

Devotees visiting the temple have raised concerns about the increasing number of stray dogs in Alampur. Many have asked authorities to take action and control the situation. Locals attribute the growing problem to dogs being abandoned by pilgrims travelling from Karnataka to Srisailam on foot, as they release the animals near the Tungabhadra River and the surrounding Nallamala forest.

Residents have urged the officials to address the stray dog menace and ensure public safety in the area.
